Got a New Neighbour?

Welcome to Bishopswood Leaflet

Have you got a new neighbour that has just moved to the area? We have produced a simple ” Welcome to Bishopswood” leaflet for you to print off and pass to them or pop through the letter box.

The leaflet has been designed to fit on a single A4 sheet printed on both sides and Z-folded. It contains a summary of the Church, Village Hall, Village website, useful telephone numbers and a map of the area highlighting the main amenities.

A link to the leaflet has been added to the INFORMATION menu and page or you can link to it directly HERE.

More Tea Vicar?

Tea and Cake

Why not drop in for tea and cake at Bishopswood Church on Saturday 11th September 11:00am to 1:00pm?

Let’s catch up after a long time apart and welcome new members of the community, including our vicar Tim.

It will be lovely to see you!

Bishopswood Village Hall Community Lunch is Back!

Roast Dinner

Bishopswood Community Lunch is back at the village hall for the first time since December 2019! Put the date – Sunday 19th September – into your diary.

Doors and bar open at 12:30pm. Lunch is served at 1:00pm.

We are serving a traditional roast beef dinner followed by a selection of homemade puddings. A vegetarian alternative will be available, please let us know when booking.

This is a pre-booking only event with tickets initially on sale at the Duck Race on Monday 30th August.

Our lunches are all prepared and served by volunteers and as always, any offers of help setting up and/or clearing up will be gratefully accepted.

This has proved a popular well attended event in the past and we are restricting numbers so don’t miss out.

Bishopswood Defibrillator Project

Bishopswood Village Hall

The Trustees of Bishopswood Village Hall are raising funds towards the purchase of a defibrillator cabinet and the associated ongoing running costs. This is a potentially life saving piece of equipment that could benefit anyone in the community.

The unit will be housed at the village hall making it accessible to hall users, canoe launch site users, the Inn on the Wye, and the surrounding neighbourhood.

The hall have set up a Just Giving page for anyone who would like to make a donation towards this project. Every £1 will help.
