Our Parishes

St Michael & All Angels Church, Walford

Bishopswood resides in two parishes:

Firstly in our own Church of England Parish with our own church, All Saints and where we are also part of the group of five Parishes known as the Wye Reaches Benefice under our new vicar Rev Tim Starling. For more information about All Saints link to their page:

Secondly Bishopswood lies in the civil parish of Walford which we share with the villages of Walford, Coughton, Hom Green and Howle Hill. The Parish of Walford is one of the largest parishes is South Herefordshire. Servicing the needs of this busy parish there are thirteen Council Members, a part-time Clerk and a Community Support Coordinator.  With a population of around 3,000 residents Walford Parish Council is committed to actively seeking to maintain and improve local facilities and wherever possible provide additional recreational facilities for the young, the elderly and indeed everyone who calls Walford Parish home.
