Bishopswood Village Hall Community Lunch is Back!

Roast Dinner

Bishopswood Community Lunch is back at the village hall for the first time since December 2019! Put the date – Sunday 19th September – into your diary.

Doors and bar open at 12:30pm. Lunch is served at 1:00pm.

We are serving a traditional roast beef dinner followed by a selection of homemade puddings. A vegetarian alternative will be available, please let us know when booking.

This is a pre-booking only event with tickets initially on sale at the Duck Race on Monday 30th August.

Our lunches are all prepared and served by volunteers and as always, any offers of help setting up and/or clearing up will be gratefully accepted.

This has proved a popular well attended event in the past and we are restricting numbers so don’t miss out.

Bishopswood Defibrillator Project

Bishopswood Village Hall

The Trustees of Bishopswood Village Hall are raising funds towards the purchase of a defibrillator cabinet and the associated ongoing running costs. This is a potentially life saving piece of equipment that could benefit anyone in the community.

The unit will be housed at the village hall making it accessible to hall users, canoe launch site users, the Inn on the Wye, and the surrounding neighbourhood.

The hall have set up a Just Giving page for anyone who would like to make a donation towards this project. Every £1 will help.

The Duck Race is Back!

Yes the traditional August bank holiday Monday Duck Race is back on 30th August. We have in store a relaxing fun day celebrating the re-opening of Bishopswood Village Hall.

The event starts at 2:00pm and will continue until people want to go home. It’s a low key affair that will allow you to meet up with friends, find out more about hall activities and enjoy a few demonstrations from some of our regular activities.

There will be BBQ food, refreshments and a bar available from 2:00pm throughout the event. We will remain open as long as people want to stay.

You will be able to book your place at the September Community lunch, where we are expecting a good attendance with limited seats, so get your table reserved early.

The Duck Race will be held at 5:00pm from Kerne Bridge. Tickets will be available £1 per duck before and at the event.

While you relax you can keep the kids amused and occupied with duck themed crafts and games, plus a mini cine showing Humpty Dumpty the Bishopswood pantomime.

Everyone is welcome to join us for a great day.
