Colin Price

Dr Colin Price

It was with great sadness that we heard of the passing of Dr Colin Price earlier this week. Over many years Colin has been one of the most influential people in making the communities of Bishopswood and Walford better places to live.

Colin led the committee that successfully planned, raised funds, and built Bishopswood Village Hall as a millennium project. Creating the well-used and loved facility that we can all enjoy today.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nina and their family.

Our community hall is one of few remaining places for local people to meet and socialise. It is entirely run by volunteers.

You can help by becoming a FRIEND.

The Friends of Bishopswood Village Hall is a membership organisation with a modest annual fee that provides the opportunity to:

– Help organise and run community events at the hall.
– Keep the hall vibrant, up to date, and well used.

Membership benefits include:

– Exclusive friends only events
– Entry into an annual draw.
– Preferential seating at some events.
– The satisfaction of securing one of our communities’ greatest assets.

Visit our stand at Cafe Bishopswood on Saturday 12th November for more information and to join.

Arts & Crafts Supply Sale Success!

Arts & Crafts Supply Sale

There was a great turn out to the Arts and Crafts Supply Sale organised by Monique, on Saturday 15th October. The event ran from 11:00am to 4:00pm attracting visitors from far and wide. Volunteers from Bishopswood village hall provided Tea, coffee, sandwiches and cakes.

We received numerous positive comments on how lucky we are to have such a fabulous hall. Monique is looking forward to organising further events at the hall next year.
