Website Update!

The Bishopswood Village Website has been updated to incorporate the Village Hall and History Group websites as part of the menu structure and includes a new clearer layout.

The separate Village Website will be removed shortly and the address www.bvhonline.co.uk will be redirected to the new website.

Take a browse around the updated website and send us feedback on any errors and other information that might be useful for locals and visitors.

Friends – Don’t Forget to Check for Volunteering Opportunities

Hello Friends, your volunteering helps to keep our vibrant village hall at the heart of our community, and we are very grateful for your commitment. Don’t forget to check the upcoming volunteering opportunities via the Friends website at www.friends.ivolunteer.co.uk.

If you are not already a volunteer, read on…

Bishopswood Village Hall is a charity providing a facility for locals, to hold meetings, lectures, classes, and other forms of recreation with the aim of improving the quality of life for those in our community. The organisation and running of our social and community events and the general running of the hall is dependant on our many volunteers, who are known as Friends.

If you would like to help out on occasion then become a Friend. It is free of charge, although we do ask that you do some volunteering each year. You will have access to exclusive events throughout the year, priority places for some events, and entry into an annual draw. Being a Friend can also provide the opportunity to gain or improve a new skill, and it’s a great way of getting to know people and your community.

Volunteering opportunities are managed through a purpose-built website accessible from PCs, Tablets and phones, all under your own control.  You can volunteer to help as much or as little as you wish, there is no obligation. The village hall is your space, why not have the satisfaction that being involved in one of our communities’ greatest assets brings.
