Every Thursday at 6:30pm – Trigger Point Pilates Mat Work

Trigger Point Pilates

Bishopswood Village Hall every Thursday at 6:30pmTrigger Point Pilates (TPP) Mat Work

A Pilates based Myofascia Trigger Point body work system.

You will start the class by gently mobilising the body, learning how to stay in good alignment and how to connect breath to each exercise. Using compression, movement and dynamic stretch you will journey through a system to release the body’s fascia, trigger point by trigger point. During the class you will use foam rollers, small spiky myofascial release balls, midi sized pilates balls and stretch bands. Most of the class is spent on an exercise mat.

The training method helps alleviate chronic pain conditions and constant muscular tightness, undoing muscular restrictions and enhances functional movement. At the end of a class one feels light, lengthened and able to move with total ease.

In fact, not only is it an excellent treatment for people from all walks of life, it’s also a great warm up and cool down class for high-intensity training.

TPP enhances movement, aligns, strengthens and lengthens limbs. Helping all, including clients with chronic myofascial pain post rehab to releasing the body from inside to out.

Village Halls Week – Friday

#VillageHallsWeek #FinancialResiliance

The aim of Bishopswood Village Hall is to provide a facility for recreation, education and leisure for the local community. The cost of maintaining and running the hall is met by making the hall available for hire to a wider population, whether for regular bookings such as Pilates or dance classes, or for private functions such as birthday parties or wedding anniversaries.

The hall produces a monthly Treasurer’s Report which tracks income and expenditure and assesses whether they are broadly in balance and in line with the annual budget.

We are committed to expanding our offering and are currently reviewing and restructuring our hire charges to provide the hall free of charge to certain non-profit activities that are of benefit to our community. The details and terms of this commitment require development, we pledge to have this implemented during the first quarter of 2022.

Don’t Forget – we will be holding a coffee morning Saturday 29th January – 10am – 12noon – come along and share your thoughts on the future of Bishopswood Village Hall.

Village Halls Week – Thursday

#VillageHallsWeek #NetZero

The village hall invested in solar energy in 2016. The installation not only helps reduce our electricity costs and climate impact but also provides around £1,000 per annum of income from excess generation back to the grid.

We are currently awaiting an energy audit to see what we can do further to reduce the halls impact on our environment.

We pledge to review our sustainability policy with a view to incorporating the findings of the energy audit and communicating with local people and visitors upon any initiatives.
